I think summer is finally here....

This is where my son played all morning... it was already toasty warm.  WE are soaking up the sun before the rain returns early next week. While he played I enjoyed this:
A hot fresh cup of Chocolate macadamia nut coffee straight from the island of hawaii :) Nothing like a scorching hot cup of Kona coffee

Brown sugar, Oatmeal Pancakes

Whisk in large bowl:
1/2 cup All purpose Flour
1/2tsp salt
1tsp baking powder

Beat in seperate bowl:
2 eggs

Stir in:
*1 1/2 cups cooked oatmeal (1 cup uncooked - then cooked equals 1 1/2)
1/2 cup milk
1tbsp melted butter

*To the dry oatmeal I added 2tbsp brown sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon. I found that this added a little sweetness so that they were not bland.. because Oatmeal without sugar to me is BLAND!

Quickly stir this mixture to the dry ingreadients. The batter may appear lumpy - but thats OKAY!  I always melt the butter in the pan that I will be using to cook the pancakes.. so cook pancakes over medium heat, flipping when bubbles form on uncooked side. Drizzle with honey, syrup or raspberry jam!

Enjoy because Caleb sure did!!!!

Thrift store finds...

New shoes for Caleb. yay $2.99. For a boy who has feet are ever growing and in desperate need of shoes I could not beat 2.99.

These 2 best of bridge cookbooks were .50 cents a piece.  I have been craving the blueberry coffeecake by them ever since I was at a friends house for a couple week ago.

Day 3

Pray that your husband will be humble and quick to agree with God about his sin. Pray that his heart will be tender toward the voice of the Lord.
(Ps. 51:2-4; Micah 6:8 )

Psalm 51:2-4 (New International Version)

2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

Micah 6:8 (New International Version)

8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

The 31 days of prayer for your husband  could not have come at a better time for me. Gabriel is heading out to film a feature on Monday and is staying on location. Meaning he will not be home for 2 weeks.  :(

Have a great day ladies

Caleb :)

SO as I was doing laundry this morning... I peeked into the kitchen to see what my 3 yr old was up.  I didnt hear any words just saw this:

He told me he was making me soup.  Now all that is in that pot are a few OLD croutons and water... He was eating it and wanted me to as well... but I told him I was full and would have some later.  A chef in the making perhaps?

Much later as I was folding laundry I came into our a living room and found this:

Caleb had informed me that Samuel needed his diaper changed. He had gone to the bedroom and had retrieved both diaper and wipes and had continued to remove the diaper and the picture show what was happening.  Samuel thought this was great.  He adores his older brother and lay giggling as the act was performed.... MY BOYS

LOVE HIM & THEM

Day 2

Pray that your husband’s relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life. Pray that he will be a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing the Lord. (Prov. 3:7, 9:10; Ps. 112:1)

Proverbs 3:7-8 (King James Version)

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
♥♥♥

Proverbs 3:9-10 (King James Version)

9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
♥♥♥

Psalm 112
1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

31 days - praying for my husband

Day 1

Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc. (2 Peter 3:18; Prov. 4:23)

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Prov. 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

I follow Sandra and she has challenged her blog followers to join her in praying for their husbands. I thought this would be something I could willingly commit to and hopefully diligently continue! :)

Above is the prayer for today!

Wives that read this... let me know if you wanna join me and watch what God is going to be doing through our prayers in the next month. Just leave a comment :)
